PRE-EMPLOYMENT BACKGROUND INVESTIGATION: PERSPECTIVES ON THE PROCESS
August 22-23, 2011
A basic two-day seminar for persons who have little or no experience or formal training in performing pre-employment, background investigations. The seminar will focus on background investigations within law enforcement, security, or government organizations. Topics include: (1) importance of the pre-employment background investigation; (2) what may or may not be asked during an investigation; (3) federal laws relating to employment of the handicapped; (4) various resources that may be used during the course of an investigation; (5) pre-employment interview techniques; and (6) various tests that can be used in background investigations.

DATE/LOCATION/TIME
This program will be conducted August 22-23, 2011, at the Roanoke Police Training Academy, 5401 B-Barns Avenue in Roanoke, Virginia in Roanoke, Virginia. Class will be in session 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. each program day.

FEE: $295 per person.
