COLD CASE MANAGEMENT: PERSPECTIVES ON THE PROCESS
January 26-27, 2012
An all-new seminar with a focus on administrative management of a cold case. During the two days of instruction, participants will learn (1) the importance of case review; (2) significance of developing and fostering relationships with forensic experts; (3) conduct of interview and re-interviews; (4) significance and importance of seeking assistance with surrounding agencies; (5) methodology of re-activating unsolved cases; (6) use of nontraditional investigative techniques applicable in cold case interviewing; (7) how DNA evidence applies to cold case investigations; (8) application of cell phone analysis; (8) importance of proving the case beyond a reasonable doubt. Program will also involve case studies of successful resolved cold homicide investigations.

DATE/LOCATION/TIME
Program will be conducted January 26-27, 2012, at the Richmond Police Academy, 1201 West Graham, Richmond, Virginia. Class will be in session 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. each program day.

FEE: $295 per person
