An all-new seminar designed for communication center directors and supervisors with focus on methodologies and techniques that might be utilized in assessing and/or evaluating the job performance of call-takers and dispatchers. Topics to be covered include: (1) review of determining pre-employment qualifications; (2) job task analysis; (3) probationary period for new hires; (4) formal in-service training for new personnel; (5) developing and implementing a structured training program; (6) evaluating experienced personnel; (7) agency evaluation review; (8) anchor points; (9) assessing future supervisors; (10) problem solving; (11) dealing with difficult employees; ((12) time management; (13) being a supervisor and not a friend; ((14) determining when to document specific problem situations with employees along with proper documentation; and (15) quality assurance techniques.
