PRE-EMPLOYMENT BACKGROUND INVESTIGATION: PERSPECTIVES ON THE PROCESS
May 3-4, 2012
A basic two-day seminar for persons who have little or no experience or formal training in performing pre-employment, background investigations. The seminar will focus on background investigations within law enforcement, security, or government organizations. Topics include: (1) importance of the pre-employment background investigation; (2) what may or may not be asked during an investigation; (3) federal laws relating to employment of the handicapped; (4) various resources that may be used during the course of an investigation; (5) pre-employment interview techniques; and (6) various tests that can be used in background investigations. INSTRUCTOR: Lt. Keith Bendul, Fort Lee Police Department, Fort Lee, New Jersey

DATE/LOCATION/TIME: Seminar will be conducted May 03-04, 2012, at the Mercer County Police Academy at the Dempster Fire Center, 350 Lawrence Station Road, Lawrenceville, New Jersey. Class will be in session 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m .daily.

FEE: $295 per person.
