PRE-EMPLOYMENT BACKGROUND INVESTIGATION: PERSPECTIVES ON THE PROCESS
January 19-20, 2012
A basic two-day seminar for persons who have little or no experience or formal training in performing pre-employment, background investigations. The seminar will focus on background investigations within law enforcement, security, or government organizations. Topics include: (1) importance of the pre-employment background investigation; (2) what may or may not be asked during an investigation; (3) federal laws relating to employment of the handicapped; (4) various resources that may be used during the course of an investigation; (5) pre-employment interview techniques; and (6) various tests that can be used in background investigations. NOTE: SPECIAL DISCUSSION ON SPECIFIC STATE OF FLORIDA LAWS PERTAINING TO THE PRE-EMPLOYMENT BACKGROUND INVESTIGATION WILL BE PROVIDED DURING THE COURSE OF THE PROGRAM. Program will be conducted January 19-20, 2012 at the Aventura Police Department, 19200 West Country Club Drive in Aventura, Florida. Class will be in session 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. each program day.
